A complete quote starts with the scope.

Checked September 20, 2026. These published USD subscription benchmarks exclude separately priced options and are not equivalent feature bundles.

Workable · Recruiting selected · 1–20 employees · annual billing
PlanMonthly equivalentAnnual amount displayed
Standard$299$3,588
Premier$599$7,188
Enterprise$719$8,628

Company headcount and package selection affect the quote. HR is an optional package; do not treat the Recruiting price as the full Recruiting + HR bundle. Standard also has monthly billing. Active jobs are subject to fair usage limits.

Use identical headcount, hiring volume, interviewers, contract term and required features. Annual monthly equivalents are not month-to-month prices. Ask for the full first-year cost and renewal terms.

Plan scope: what the recruiting suite covers, and what sits beside it

Workable sells Standard, Premier and Enterprise plans, with the price set by your company employee count rather than by seat. The monthly route covers Standard recruiting with optional HR, annual billing covers Standard, Premier and Enterprise, and a fifteen-day trial of Standard is available. Active jobs are described as unlimited subject to fair use limits, which is worth clarifying if you open seasonal bursts of roles.

Read the package boundary carefully. This is a recruiting product first: HR features are sold as optional packages, so the entry price is not an all-in HR bundle and it is not a US payroll calculation engine. Texting, video interviews and assessments are add-ons on Standard and included on Premier. Current figures sit in the table on this page rather than in this text.

  • Standard, Premier and Enterprise, with company employee count driving the quoted price.
  • Unlimited active jobs carry fair use limits: ask what that means for your hiring volume.
  • Texting, video interviews and assessments are Standard add-ons and Premier inclusions.

Interview kits: the same questions, asked by everyone

Interview kits are available on all plans and can be attached at the Phone Screen, Assessment and Interview stages. Each kit carries consistent questions, rated criteria and a notes field, so four people meeting one support candidate answer the same job-related prompts and the manager compares like with like instead of reading four different formats.

Two details shape how that feedback lands. Participants generally have to submit their own evaluation before seeing what others wrote, with exceptions for Super Admin and Recruiter roles, so confirm visibility using the actual roles assigned to your team. If someone prints the kit and writes on paper, those notes must be entered manually for the evaluation to be saved on the candidate profile. A Candidate Reviewer role can be scoped to specific jobs, where it works with evaluations, internal comments, upcoming events and to-dos.

  • Interview kits on all plans, attachable at phone screen, assessment and interview stages.
  • Participants generally submit their own feedback first; Super Admin and Recruiter differ.
  • Candidate Reviewer gets job-specific access to evaluations, comments, events and to-dos.

Assistive features: the questions we would put to the vendor

Workable promotes AI-assisted recruiting capabilities, and we have not tested how any specific one behaves, so treat the following as demo questions rather than conclusions. Ask which stage each feature touches, what candidate data it reads, whether its output is stored on the profile, who can switch it off for a job or for the account, and how it is visually distinguished from a human evaluation.

The control that matters is the one the interview kit already supports: a person reviewing job-related evidence before a candidate advances or is declined. Ask to see that no assistive feature moves an application out of the process on its own, and confirm that every rating the team reads is attributed to the interviewer who gave it.

  • List every assisted step, the data it reads, and the admin who can disable it.
  • Keep advance and decline decisions with a named person reviewing job-related evidence.
  • Check assistive output is labeled and kept separate from interviewer evaluations.

A trial script built on one support vacancy

Run one fictional customer support vacancy through the trial or the demo, staffed by a recruiter, a hiring manager and two interviewers. Agree the job-related criteria before anyone logs in, attach a single interview kit, and check that the same criteria reach every participant in the same words.

Then break it on purpose: leave one evaluation unsubmitted and see what the manager can do about it, reschedule an interview, sign in as a Candidate Reviewer to confirm what a limited role sees, revise one criterion on a test copy, and type up a set of paper notes so they land on the profile. Finish by naming the offer owner and the person taking the onboarding handoff. Use the shared demo worksheet below, then explore the onboarding guide for the next handoff.

  • One vacancy, four named participants, criteria agreed before the first login.
  • Exercise a missing evaluation, a reschedule, a limited reviewer view and manual note entry.
  • End on ownership: who signs the offer and who receives the onboarding handoff.

Incentivized · Seller invite. The reviewer describes scorecards and evaluation forms positively and asks for more flexible conditional automation. An additional July 15, 2026 date appears on the review. This individual account does not establish objective or unbiased hiring outcomes.

Ask in your demo: Can each interviewer submit job-related evidence, and can the manager identify whose feedback is still missing?

Before you choose your recruiting software.

What kind of company is Workable?

Workable is a recruiting software vendor. Its product covers sourcing, a careers page, applications, interview kits and evaluations, sold as recruiting plans with optional HR packages available alongside the recruiting subscription.

Reference
How much does Workable cost?

Workable prices Standard, Premier and Enterprise by company employee count and selected packages. The table shows Recruiting for 1–20 employees on annual billing; Standard also offers monthly billing. Add-ons and optional HR change the total.

Reference
What are the cons of using Workable?

Rather than repeat complaints we cannot verify, check the documented scope: texting, video interviews and assessments are add-ons on Standard, HR features are optional packages, unlimited active jobs carry fair use limits, and printed interview kits need manual entry to be saved.

Reference
Is HR software included in the recruiting price?

Some basic employee features are listed across plans, but the full HR package is optional. Do not assume the displayed Recruiting price includes every HR feature you need.

Reference
Does Workable have a free plan or a trial?

The documented route to trying it is a fifteen-day trial of the Standard plan rather than a permanently free tier. Confirm at signup which features the trial includes, since some Standard capabilities are add-ons.

Reference
What does unlimited active jobs mean in practice?

Workable describes active jobs as unlimited subject to fair use limits. If you post in seasonal bursts or run many near-identical roles, ask where those limits sit and what happens when a burst approaches them.

Reference
Are interview scorecards available on every plan?

Interview kits with scorecards are available on all plans and can be attached at the phone screen, assessment and interview stages, carrying consistent questions, rated criteria and notes for each participant.

Reference
Can interviewers see each other's feedback?

Participants generally have to submit their own evaluation before seeing others, with exceptions for Super Admin and Recruiter roles. Confirm the behavior for the exact roles you plan to assign to your panel.

Reference
How do we give a manager access to one job only?

The Candidate Reviewer role is a limited reviewer scoped to specific jobs, working with evaluations, internal comments, upcoming events and to-dos. Test it live in the demo instead of reading the description.

Reference
Do printed interview kits save feedback automatically?

No. Notes written on a printed interview kit must be entered manually for the evaluation to be saved on the candidate profile, so agree who types them up and by when.

Reference
Does Workable's AI decide who gets rejected?

We have not verified individual assistive features, so ask the vendor which stages they touch, what they read, and whether output can ever advance or decline anyone. Keep a person reviewing job-related evidence at every decision point.

Reference
What are the alternatives to Workable?

Breezy HR is one option to compare for small teams, particularly its free single-position plan and its scorecards from Growth upward. Our Breezy versus Workable page runs both through the same support vacancy so the differences are concrete.
